Overview:
The Crew is a 2024 comedy-drama Bollywood film by Rajesh Krishnan. The movie stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh, and other great talents in Bollywood. It focuses on three ladies involved in the airline business who suddenly get caught up in a tizzy of happenings, consequent to which are episodes of a number of light, heartwarming situations. Cast:
Kareena Kapoor Khan as Meera: A self-dependent and strong woman struggling to strike a balance between the demands of her job and her personal life. Meera is smart, ambitious, and does not hesitate to speak her mind, but has faced the challenges of being underestimated at work.
Tabu as Shalini: She is the oldest of the three, with considerable experience in the airline profession, hence being the voice of reason. Her calm composure and experience make her somewhat of a mentor to the other two ladies, although she has problems of her own, well concealed.
Kriti Sanon as Priya: She is the youngest of them, but the most carefree among them. Her nature is energetic and optimistic; she is ever ready to take on the world. It is her enthusiasm, falling into unexpected situations, bringing a lot of the film’s comic relief.
Diljit Dosanjh as Ravi: A suave, supportive colleague who goes on to become quite important in the lives of the girls. His interactions with the female leads are well-scripted to bring out both laughter and emotion into the story.

The Crew is a story of three women from different walks of life brought together by coincidence in the fast and furious world of aviation. Besides the challenges coming from their jobs with demanding passengers and red tape, they also partake in their personal battles. Indeed, the film grapples with relevant contemporary issues, such as women’s rights, sexual harassment in the workplace, and women’s solidarity.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon deliver wonderful performances, all different in their own way. The Kareena-modulated volume of her body language added strength and vulnerability to the character of Meera, making her very relatable and an inspiration. Tabu brought grace and poise into her role of Shalini, an experienced lady, while Kriti Sanon’s strong performance as Priya infused new energy with much-needed lightness in the film.
The situation-based comedy is mostly character-driven because the story mostly comes about through the interaction of the girls with their environment. Ravi by Diljit Dosanjh has his different perspective, a friend who is also a love interest and shows, subtly, modern relationships.
